The Tsuut’ina Nation, on Calgary’s southwest edge along the ring road, has quietly become one of the cheapest places to fuel in the entire Calgary area. The Costco gas bar at Buffalo Run (beside the Taza Park development) is regularly the lowest-priced pump in the region, and the Tsuut’ina Gas Stop on Chula Boulevard near Grey Eagle Casino plus the station on Weaselhead Road consistently undercut the adjacent city neighbourhoods by several cents per litre.
Why the discount? Stations on First Nations land operate under a different cost structure than off-reserve retailers, and the Tsuut’ina locations have leaned into volume pricing as the ring road has made them a 5-minute detour for much of southwest Calgary. The list below compares the on-Nation stations against nearby Westhills, Oakridge and Lakeview pumps so you can see exactly what the detour is worth on any given day. Prices refresh hourly.
