The northwest is the part of Calgary where it most often pays to plan your fill-up around a warehouse club. The Costco gas bar at Beacon Hill and the Calgary Co-op gas bars in Crowfoot, Varsity and the Hamptons are usually a few cents per litre below the major-brand stations along Crowchild Trail and Sarcee Trail, and they sit close to the big-box shopping most NW drivers are already heading to. Outside those anchors, the major chains cluster along the arterial roads — 16 Avenue NW (the Trans-Canada), Crowchild, Shaganappi and John Laurie — so the cheapest pump is rarely far off your normal route.
Station density drops as you move out toward the newer communities near Stoney Trail — Tuscany, Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak and Sherwood — so a slightly wider search radius makes sense out there than it does in established areas like Brentwood, Varsity or Montgomery. The list below ranks every NW station we track by current regular price, with the distance shown from the centre of the quadrant. Prices refresh hourly; confirm the pump display before you fuel.
